The brief

Oro & Sons have roasted coffee in the same street since 1921. Their old logo was a drawing of the founder that nobody could read at bag size.

What we built

We kept the name and replaced the portrait with an arch: the doorway of the original shop, drawn as three strokes. It works at 12 millimetres on a lid and two metres on a wall.

The packaging system uses one colour per roast and one gold stamp for the origin, so the shelf reads like a row of doorways.

The result

Wholesale orders rose 28% in the year after the relaunch, and two cafés asked to paint the arch on their windows.
