The brief
Scriptorium is a small press with a big slush pile. They needed one place to receive manuscripts, read them and publish the chosen ones as books and as web editions.
What we built
Writers submit through a simple form and get a reading receipt. Editors read on a distraction-free page with a note field, and a book moves from accepted to printed on one shared board.
The public site is a catalogue with an excerpt for every title and a shelf for each series.
The result
Submissions tripled after launch, and every one was read within three weeks, a promise the press prints on its home page.
