Design and front-end
Result
Reports produced 3 days faster
The brief
Vireo runs the water network for a city of 900,000. Its engineers had four screens of spreadsheets and a map from 2011. They wanted one page that answered a simple question: where is the water going, and is anything wrong?
What we built
We drew the network as a single long line, like the aqueduct it replaced. Every pump, valve and reservoir is a stop on that line, coloured by health. Click a stop and the dashboard opens its history, its neighbours and the person on call.
Engineers can pin three stops to a personal view and print a one-page daily report from it. The report used to take an afternoon.
The result
Weekly reports are now produced three days faster, and the first winter after launch the team caught two slow leaks before customers noticed a drop in pressure.
